Sara Free is a multidisciplinary Graphic Designer and Creative Professional whose career has been shaped by a passion for thoughtful design, a spirit of growth, and a drive to tell meaningful brand stories. With a foundation in industrial design, her expertise spans branding, creative direction, art direction, photography, and layout design across both print and digital media — resulting in a versatile, strategic design perspective.

Her career began in 2014 as the first in-house Graphic Designer at Jarvis Cutting Tools, where she built the company’s brand identity from the ground up. Her ability to blend design excellence with strategic thinking quickly elevated her into leadership roles, including Marketing Director and Brand Manager.

In 2018, Sara joined Portman Architects as a Branding Specialist and Graphic Designer, where she helped shape the firm’s visual identity during a period of transformation. That experience set the stage for her return to the Portman family in 2022, this time stepping into a key leadership role as Senior Creative Manager at Portman Holdings — a commercial real estate development firm based in Atlanta. There, she leads creative strategy and execution across Portman’s portfolio, building brand systems and collateral that bring clarity, cohesion, and character to each project.

Sara is known for her meticulous eye, collaborative mindset, and ability to create brand experiences that are both scalable and emotionally engaging. Outside of work, she’s fueled by creativity in all forms — whether it’s baking, painting, photography, or traveling to spark inspiration. A lover of clean lines and bold statements (often dressed in black), she values beauty, intention, and authenticity in both life and design.
